Job summary

Qualifications

• CA CRT required; BLS.
• Fluoroscopy permit within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Cath Lab experience including Interventional Cath Lab preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Proficient with computer apps (MS Office) and Syngo Dynamics.
• Excellent time management and teamwork within procedures and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures using fixed equipment.
• Monitor patient and operate hemodynamic system for data acquisition.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and related materials.
• Ensure sterile technique and compliance with hospital/department policy.
• Select images for acquisition and send to PACS; assist physicians in viewing images.
• Generate preliminary cath report for reading physician with basic data.
• Ensure hemostasis at puncture site and manage vascular sealant if needed.
• Support ongoing education through seminars and in-service programs.
• Maintain radiation safety and inspect equipment for hazards.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and keep work area clean and organized.
• Addendum for EP or IT roles as assigned.
