Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY is seeking an Interventional Technologist to support complex imaging during interventional procedures and ensure patient safety. You will prepare the procedure room, operate advanced imaging equipment, monitor vitals, and assist with instruments in a sterile field.

Ideal candidates will have ARRT radiography credentials and specialized interventional radiography certification, plus BLS; ACLS within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• KY radiography licensure upon hire.
• ARRT registrations listed in Job Requirements.
• BLS certification and ACLS within specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Operate c-arm radiation equipment and provide radiation protection.
• Prepare sterile fields and act as scrub assistant and hemodynamic monitor.
• Manage devices in Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular inventory (atherectomy, IABP, IVUS, Impella, CTO, DES, DCB, OCT, thrombectomy, embolic coils).
• Support PCI, PTCA, PTA, cerebral/visceral angiography and interventions, stent placement, line placements, dialysis access maintenance, pacemaker/ICD implant.
• Demonstrate rapid decision making, leadership, and precepting; respond to STEMI, stroke, respiratory and cardiac arrest.
• Provide patient/family education on procedures and cardiovascular risk factors.
• Assist nursing staff and report deviations of standards to nurse leadership.
