Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to support Interventional Cardiovascular and Radiology procedures in the Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular suites.

The role involves scrub and monitoring duties, radiation safety, patient education, and on-call coverage. Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic program with ARRT certification and relevant registry credentials; ACLS/BLS are expected within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) on hire or
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography on hire or
• Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography on hire or
• Registered Technologist Mammography on hire or
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging on hire or
• Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology on hire or
• Registered Technologist Quality Management on hire or
• Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy on hire or
• Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Radiography on hire or
• Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography on hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR on hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days

Responsibilities

• Assist Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons in Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular procedures.
• Serve as scrub and monitoring staff.
• Provide radiation safety and general safety for patients and staff.
• Educate patients and families and support service excellence.
• Document and evaluate outcomes of interventions.
• Provide on-call services as assigned.
• Operate C-arm radiation equipment and ensure radiation protection.
• Prepare sterile fields and function as scrub assist and hemodynamic monitor.
• Be knowledgeable about devices used in Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular inventory.
• Demonstrate rapid decision making and clinical leadership in STEMI and stroke alerts.
• Support nursing functions and report deviations to nurse leadership.
