Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS, is seeking a day shift, full-time Interventional Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist (CVRT).

The CVRT will assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, monitor hemodynamics, scrub procedures, and ensure optimal equipment performance. Qualified candidates hold RCIS or ARRT registration, state licensure as Radiologic Technologist in Kansas, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current RCIS or ARRT registration.
• Licensed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts as Radiologic Technologist.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• One year of experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Monitor and record hemodynamics and assist the physician by scrubbing procedures.
• Assure proper functioning and troubleshooting of equipment to provide quality diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral technology to assist the physicians.
• Participate in professional development for the advancement of Cardiology Services.

Education

RCIS or ARRT registration (RCIS/ARRT)

Kansas Board of Healing Arts Radiologic Technologist license

BLS certification within 14 days of hire
