Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is seeking an experienced CVRT/Interventional Lab specialist to support cardiovascular teams at Johns Hopkins Suburban Medical Center in Bethesda. The role involves assisting with invasive procedures, maintaining lab readiness, and ensuring safety protocols.

The position requires ARRT or RCIS certification, licensure in MD/DC, BLS/CPR, and at least 3 years of related cath lab experience. On‑call rotation and on‑site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold ARRT Certification or RCIS.
• Maryland or DC licensure in applicable discipline.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Minimum 3 years in CVRT/CVIR or related cath lab/interventional labs.
• Experience assisting with invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and procedural documentation.
• Ability to identify arrhythmias and monitor patient status during procedures.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures following sterile technique.
• Prepare cath lab rooms with catheters, guidewires, contrast media and equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot angiographic and monitoring equipment.
• Monitor patient vitals and document hemodynamic data during interventions.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post‑procedure expectations.
• Maintain sterility and ALARA radiation safety principles.
