Job summary

Atlantic Health System in New Jersey seeks a skilled Cardiovascular Lab Technologist to assist during complex cardiac catheterization and EP procedures. You will prepare procedure rooms, scrub and assist MDs, and ensure patient comfort throughout the intervention.

You will enter patient and equipment data, monitor hemodynamic status, retrieve imaging, and help manage emergencies, following safety guidelines and departmental standards. The role requires strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assists MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions (stents, angioplasties, valve replacements, EP procedures).
• Prepares and drapes patients, answers questions, alleviates concerns, and ensures patient comfort.
• Enters patient, procedure and equipment details in the system.
• Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedures (ECG, BP, pain).
• Retrieves imaging and other pertinent data and calculations for physician interpretation of results.
• Balances, calibrates and records hemodynamic data; intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies.
• Operates equipment properly per departmental standards; follows safety guidelines/policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
