Job summary

Atlantic Health in Morristown, NJ seeks personnel to support a cardiac catheterization lab. The role includes preparing the procedure room and scrubbing/assisting the physician during PCI and EP procedures, and ensuring patient comfort before, during, and after interventions.

Responsibilities also cover data entry, real-time hemodynamic monitoring, data retrieval for interpretation, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• 1. Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assist MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and/or EP procedures
• 2. Prepares and drapes patients for the process, responds to their questions alleviating any concerns regarding the procedure, and ensures patient comfort.
• 3. Enters patient, procedure and equipment details in the system.
• 4. Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedure, including electrocardiogram, blood pressure, chest pain.
• 5. Retrieves imaging and other pertinent data and all necessary calculations for physician's interpretation of results.
• 6. Balances, calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data as well as intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies.
• 7. Operates equipment properly in a reliable manner, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines/policies.
• 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
