Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Physician Assistant for Interventional Cardiology to provide comprehensive patient care within the department and subspecialties. The PA will follow established standards, perform exams, order tests, and support nursing and staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will have NY licensure, BLS and DEA, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. The role may involve on-call duties and participation in rounds and committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Currently Licensed as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
• DEA Certificate required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Practices within the scope of delineated privileges.
• Provide direct care to individuals and families consistent with NYU Langone Health-Brooklyn’s goals.
• Obtain detailed history, perform physical exams, and write orders after consulting with a physician.
• Document patient encounters including assessments, treatments, and follow-up.
• Maintain unit records and statistics for administrative and reimbursement purposes.
• Manage evaluation and care of critical care patients and perform emergency life-saving procedures when needed.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with healthcare professionals and families.
• Provide preventive health services and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
