Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens support in Las Cruces, NM. The role includes inpatient rounds, STEMI coverage, and on-call duties with one week per month schedule.

Interventional Cardiology Physician

StartDate: 9/1/2026 Pay Rate: $315.25 - $341.25

This facility is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 1 week per month, Monday through Monday (preferred last week of each month); call-only coverage with inpatient rounding; expected STEMI call volume 0-3 per week and 0-2 calls from house supervisor while on call.


• Practice Setting: Inpatient; rounds with 1 Nurse Practitioner; large cardiology group including 5 Interventional Cardiologists, 4 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Cardiovascular Surgeons, 1 Electrophysiologist, and 3 General Cardiologists.


• Type of cases and required procedures: Inpatient Interventional Cardiology cases, STEMI coverage, inpatient rounding (20-40 patients), and overflow/unassigned cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures as needed.


• Credentialing timeframe: Not specified.


• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Athena Meditech


• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).


• Licensure required: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology.
