Job summary

WellSpan Health in Chambersburg, PA, seeks a Medical Assistant to provide front-line clinical support in a patient-centered practice. You will assist in direct patient care, perform routine procedures, and help educate patients and families under provider supervision.

The role requires a Medical Assistant credential or MA program completion, with high-quality organizational and communication skills. Sign-on bonus eligible; full-time daytime schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain reason for visit and vital signs; document in the EHR.
• Collect specimens as directed; ensure proper handling and transport.
• Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and maintain sterile prep.
• Under supervision, administer vaccines and medications as prescribed.
• Assist in patient education and follow-up instructions.
