Advocate Health in the United States seeks a Cardiovascular Specialist or RN with interventional experience to join our Cath Lab team. You will prepare equipment, assist during procedures, and ensure patient safety. The role requires ACLS within 90 days, ARRT registration or RN licensure, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Allied Health Technology; i.e., Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, etc.
• Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist
• Registered with and certified by the ARRT or current license as a Registered Nurse in applicable state
• Registry or license as it pertains to Allied Health field of expertise

Responsabilités

• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, following safety standards and policies.
• Operates radiographic and fluoroscopic cardiac catheterization equipment and maintains compliance with radiation safety.
• Provides emergency support, including initiating codes and coordinating with the emergency team.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and team members to ensure understanding of procedures and care plans.
• Administers medications and monitors patient physiologic status during procedures under physician supervision.
• Performs competency for point of care testing as assigned and maintains documentation in SENSIS.
