Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to deliver patient-centered care in a high-volume, state-of-the-art setting. You will support advanced cardiac procedures and participate in emergency readiness.

The role requires 3–5 years in an Interventional Cath Lab, an active MA RN license with BLS/ACLS, and training in procedural sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.

Qualifications

• > RN Massachusetts license, BLS and ACLS required.
• < 3-5 years Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience; Critical Care preferred.
• < Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (BSN within 4 years required).
• < Procedural sedation experience; proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing organization
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects
