Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Join a Magnet® recognized organization delivering exceptional, equitable care to patients and families in a leading New England facility.

You will provide patient-centered nursing in a state-of-the-art lab, with support for your professional growth and a mission-driven environment. Schedule is 20 hours with on-call requirements and weekend/weeknight coverage.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN Massachusetts license, BLS and ACLS required
• Experience: 3-5 years Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience required; Critical Care preferred.
• Knowledge + Skills: Procedural sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, STEMI response, EP and imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
