Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral, and EP procedures. You will work closely with physicians, nurses and team members to provide safe, high-quality patient care and accurate documentation.

The role requires ARRT RT-R or RCIS certification within one year, plus preferred associate degree and at least 1 year in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology.

Qualifications

• Minimum Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS).
• Preferred Associate degree.
• 1 year in a Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Integrates knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques being performed, and assists accordingly.
• Maintains expertise in current radiographic imagery techniques as they relate to invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Operates laboratory equipment; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and contacts proper support personnel.
• Assists in monitoring the effects of procedural activities by identifying adverse reactions/conditions and properly responding.
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image storage and archival.
