Job summary

Danbury Hospital seeks an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist to perform procedures under physician direction. You'll assist in cath lab activities, prepare equipment, monitor patients, and document results to aid diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

Requirements include an Associate's degree, ACLS/BLS/ARRT credentials, and at least one year of experience. On-call duties and on-site work in Danbury, CT are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to interpret ECGs and hemodynamic tracings.
• Experience with endovascular, interventional and diagnostic procedures.
• One year minimum experience; RCIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in invasive cardiovascular procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Monitor hemodynamics and ECG; document data and generate procedure reports.
• Pre-procedure interviews, medical history reviews and informed consent.
• Prepare cath lab equipment, calibrate devices, and perform QA checks.
• Assist cardiologist with arterial closure and sheath removal; ensure hemostasis.
