Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) for the daytime, full-time role. You will assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, operate within a multidisciplinary cath lab team, and administer medications under physician supervision.

On-call rotations and rapid response to STEMI are required, along with ongoing QA participation.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required).
• RCIS certification required.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year minimum experience in a Cardiovascular invasive environment or related role.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Operate in the cath lab and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Administer medications under physician direction and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to STEMI activations.
• Contribute to quality assurance and process improvements in the lab.
