Job summary

UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh is hiring a Full Time RN to support our Cardiac Cath Lab. The unit performs invasive cardiology procedures with interventional cardiologists and specialized teams.

You will assist in procedures, manage conscious sedation, document care, and participate in on-call rotations. The role emphasizes teaching patients and families and contributing to quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN with active license.
• Experience in invasive cardiology or cath lab preferred.
• Ability to perform conscious sedation and work around fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

• Assist interventional cardiologist and circulate the procedural room.
• Demonstrates patient and family teaching and ensures understanding of the episode of care.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient charts during and after the procedure.
• Contributes to unit-based quality improvement and governance efforts.
• Participates in rotating on-call schedule and variable shifts.
