Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry Upon Hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support.
• ACLS - within 120 Days.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced within 120 Days (for pediatric hospitals).
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
• Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures.
• Operates IR equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Prepares the patient for the exam and verifies identity and orders.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Ensures proper consent, coding and charging, and QC programs; reports equipment issues.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates with other providers after procedures.
• Ends procedures by securing hemostasis as per protocol.
