• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or be within 24 credits of completion and currently enrolled.
• 40‑hour RBT training or habilitative intervention certification.
• Reliable transportation, driver’s license and auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• MANDT or other de‑escalation training.
• Background check required.
• ParaPro PRAXIS may be required for Mountain Home School District only.

• Document daily progress toward goals.

Position Overview

The Intervention Technician provides direct intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in schools, community, and/or center settings. The role focuses on decreasing maladaptive behaviors and encouraging adaptive behaviors using reinforcement strategies, following the individual’s treatment plan. This is a provisional position for 18 months, requiring the staff to acquire 1,040 hours of direct, supervised experience with clients aged 0‑21.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one‑on‑one or group intervention to a child or adolescent with a developmental disability in accordance with the treatment plan.
• Document daily progress toward goals.
• Effectively communicate with parents and other service providers.
• Complete required annual training.
• Participate in regular supervision and collaborate with treatment team members.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field or within 24 credits of completion and currently enrolled for remaining credits.
• Completed 40‑hour RBT training in ABA (provided by RISE) or hold a current certificate in Habilitative Intervention.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and car insurance.
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification (provided by RISE).
• Valid MANDT and/or other de‑escalation certification training (provided by RISE).
• Pass a background check.
• Pass the ParaPro PRAXIS (Mountain Home School District only). Remove if not Mountain Home.
