Job summary

Rise Family is seeking an Intervention Technician in Fruitland, ID, to provide direct intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. The role focuses on reducing maladaptive behaviors and encouraging adaptive behaviors.

Position Overview

The Intervention Technician provides direct intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in a school, community, and/or center. The role involves decreasing maladaptive behaviors and encouraging adaptive behaviors using reinforcement strategies. The position is provisional for 18 months and requires 1,040 hours of direct supervised experience with an individual aged 0‑21 years with a developmental disability or demonstrated functional need.

Essential Functions
  • Provide direct one‑on‑one or group intervention to a child or adolescent with a developmental disability in accordance with the treatment plan.
  • Provide daily documentation on the progress of goals.
  • Effectively communicate with parents and other providers.
  • Complete required annual training requirements.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field or within 24 credits of completing a Bachelor’s Degree and actively enrolled and in pursuit of those final credits.
  • Complete 40‑hour RBT training in ABA (provided by RISE) or hold a current certificate in Habilitative Intervention (HI).
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and car insurance.
  • Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by RISE).
  • Must provide or obtain MANDT and/or other de‑escalation certification training (provided by RISE).
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass the ParaPro PRAXIS (Mountain Home School District only) if applicable.
