Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate from out of state is required.
• Bilingual Spanish certification preferred.
• Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position per federal/state law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district philosophy of instruction and develop lesson plans with written preparation evidence.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles and reflect TEA guidelines and policies.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan any needed instructional modifications with special education collaboration.
• Plan and supervise assignments for aides/volunteers and use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Engage in staff development activities and participate in faculty meetings and committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
