• Implement executive functioning strategies per IEP/SPP requirements.
• Attend WCA PD and deepen understanding of the classical education model.
• Support the mission and follow Christ in interactions with students and families.
• Pray regularly with and for students, parents, colleagues, and school.
• Assist in IEP/SPP meetings as part of the team.

Intervention Specialist

Full-Time, begins August 2026

We seek a dedicated candidate to serve as an intervention specialist. This person will be responsible for planning and delivering math and reading intervention, providing homeroom teachers with classroom accommodations, contributing to IEP and SPP meetings, and implementing executive functioning strategies according to IEP or SPP requirements. Candidates should have a working knowledge of classical education with a desire to expand on their understanding.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Recognize and support the mission, vision, and goals of the WCA Semper Crescente program
• Serve as a role model for students as a follow of Christ
• Demonstrate the fruit of the spirit in your interactions with students and parents
• Pray regularly with and for the students, parents, colleagues, and school
• Provide math, grammar, writing, and reading intervention
• Provide classroom support for students needing classroom accommodations
• Provide recommendations for students’ IEP’s and SPP’s
• Provide executive functioning strategies/services
• Attend WCA PD and make a conscious effort to understand the classical model of education

QUALIFICATIONS

• A follower of Jesus Christ and personal agreement with our Statement of Faith and lifestyle agreement
• Detail oriented and organized
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to sincerely interact and pray with our students and their parents
• Friendly, gentle, patient, and professional demeanor; teachable spirit
• A commitment to Christian education and developing a life-long biblical worldview
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in special education, and an ODE Intervention Specialist License
• Science of Reading Certification or Training strongly encouraged
• Minimum 1 year working with children with disabilities
• A basic understanding of classical education
