Job summary

Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati is seeking an Intervention Specialist to join our team. The role focuses on designing and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum, driving instruction with data, and maintaining a high-expectation classroom culture aimed at college readiness.

The educator will collaborate with faculty to review student data for ongoing instructional refinement and will share best practices with colleagues while ensuring consistent parent communications about progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or related field.
• Valid OH teaching certificate/license or in process to obtain one in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction reflecting observations and goals of individual children.
• Establish a classroom culture of high expectations including college preparation for all students.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to review data for refining instruction and assessment.
• Share best practices with teachers and support collaborative improvement.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress.
• Maintain an organized, attractive and safe classroom environment.
• Interact with students in a respectful and engaging manner.

Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati is looking for Intervention Specialists to join our team.

Teaching Responsibilities:

• Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians and coworkers.
• Design and effectively deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction which reflects observations and goals of individual children.
• Establish a classroom culture of high expectations that includes college preparation for all students.
• Work with the faculty and school leadership to frequently examine student data for ongoing refinement of instruction and assessment.
• Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate with them to improve instructional and assessment practices.
• Facilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student progress.
• Keep the classroom environment organized, attractive and safe.
• Interact frequently and respectfully with students.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree
