Job summary

Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati is seeking a full-time Middle School Teacher to join our team. The role involves designing and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum, assessing student progress with data, and maintaining an organized classroom environment.

Responsibilities include communicating with parents, collaborating with colleagues, and upholding school policies while fostering a culture of high expectations and college preparation for all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or related field.
• OH teaching certificate/license or in process to obtain one for the taught subject.
• Experience teaching middle school is preferred.

Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati is looking for Full Time Middle School Teachers to join our team.

Teaching Responsibilities:

• Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians and coworkers.
• Design and effectively deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction which reflects observations and goals of individual children.
• Establish a classroom culture of high expectations that includes college preparation for all students.
• Work with the faculty and school leadership to frequently examine student data for ongoing refinement of instruction and assessment.
• Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate with them to improve instructional and assessment practices.
• Facilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student progress.
• Keep the classroom environment organized, attractive and safe.
• Interact frequently and respectfully with students.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree
