Job summary

Buckeye Elementary School District is seeking a Paraprofessional B to assist and support students with educational needs and to implement IEPs under teacher supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting in regular classrooms, ESL and special education settings, supervising duties, aiding with materials, and helping students acquire language and academic skills while maintaining safety and records. 10-month, non-exempt, 35.50 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Requires AZ DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• TB Test required.
• Experience with school-aged children preferred.
• Experience with children with varying learning and physical disabilities preferred.
• Special training in adaptive equipment may be required.
• Ability to speak fluent Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Paraprofessionals may work in regular classrooms, ESL, special needs, side-by-side or other settings.
• Supervise playground, lunchroom, lavatories, bus area, and transportation of District students as required.
• Assist instructional supervisor in group/individual student assistance with curriculum work and language acquisition.
• Help maintain classroom control and order and assist in preparing instructional materials.
• Assist in classroom preparation and maintenance for student use.
• Support personal care and non-medical health-related needs of students with special needs.
