Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Considerable knowledge of the criminal justice system including Laws of Virginia Relating to Corrections.
• Ability to interpret and understand In-Mate file materials and other related legal documents.
• Effective communication abilities to include both written and oral language skills.
• Advanced knowledge in criminal justice, social work, behavioral science or related field and/or considerable experience in criminal justice or relate field.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and coordinate day-to-day administration of the Interstate Corrections Compact.
• Assess records to determine eligibility and legality of In-Mate transfers to other states.
• Provide information to Juvenile Justice inmates prior to reception into the VADOC.
