Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree and valid Georgia PSC teaching certificate.
• Endorsements in ESOL and Gifted preferred or required.
• CTAE specialization and industry licensure may be required depending on role.
• GACE Ethics Assessment must be passed per Georgia requirements.

Responsibilities

• T each grade-relevant, subject matter curriculum.
• Develop and implement lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning with evidence of preparation.
• Communicate with district personnel, students, and parents via phone, email, or video conferencing.
• Create an in-person and virtual classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Use internet and web-based tools for instruction and collaboration.
• Assess, document, and report progress, attendance, and performance.
• Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
• Participate in student development conferences with families, counselors, teachers, and administrators.
• Direct paraprofessional/instructional aide as needed.
• Maintain prompt and regular work attendance.
• Special Education: identify needs, provide SDI, develop IEPs, collaborate with general teachers, and monitor progress.
