Job summary

Wyoming State Parks and Historic Sites seeks a skilled interpreter to develop and deliver engaging interpretive programs across Absaroka District sites, including Fort Phil Kearny, Trail End, and Keyhole State Park. The role involves outreach, special events, and volunteer coordination.

Responsibilities include running district social media channels, training staff and volunteers, and maintaining interpretive accreditation. Housing is provided at Keyhole State Park for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (typically in Cultural Resources)
• 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Cultural Resources)
• 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Cultural Resources)

Responsibilities

• Create and implement novel interpretive programs, activities, and outreach for Absaroka District sites.
• Run social media channels for district sites (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
• Train volunteers and staff in guided tour program; maintain NAI status.
• Coordinate and assist with special events; organize volunteers and promote events.
