Job summary

East Bay Regional Park District in the Bay Area is seeking a Naturalist for Black Diamond Center to develop interpretive programs on local history and biodiversity with a focus on social justice and equitable access to parks.

You will lead interpretive activities for schools and the public, collaborate across sectors, and use media and technology to engage diverse communities with regional park resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interpretation/environmental education or related field.
• Two years of field experience; Master’s may substitute for one year.
• Valid California driver’s license is required.
• Substitution options as described may apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct interpretive programs on natural and cultural history for school groups and the public.
• Coordinate district events and prepare interpretive materials.
• Utilize current technologies to develop programs, exhibits and media.
