Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking an Interpreter for Swahili in Patient/Guest Services. The role provides interpretation for non-English speaking patients and visitors, reporting to the Director of Customer Relations. The position requires bilingual fluency, medical terminology familiarity, and flexible hours with a 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. shift. The successful candidate will support the hospital’s safety-net mission, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate

• Bilingual Swahili and English with medical terminology knowledge or training.
• Experience providing interpretation in medical settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive interpretation services for non-English speaking patients and visitors.
• Assist medical staff with accurate and confidential interpretation during encounters.
