Billings Public Schools seeks an Interpreter for the Deaf I to provide interpreting and translating services within the school environment. Requires a current EIPA Certified Interpreter for the Deaf License and a high school diploma or equivalent, plus two years interpreter training or equivalent experience.
The position is nine months, Monday through Friday, with compensation starting at $18.93/hour during a 90-workday probationary period, increasing to $21.04/hour thereafter.

High school diploma or equivalent; two years interpreter training program and/or combination of education and experience, a current EIPA Certified Interpreter for the Deaf License, special knowledge, skills and abilities in the use of sign languages used by deaf students and family members; computers; listening devices; inter-personal communication; and reliable transportation and ability to travel to and between schools as directed.
