Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. seeks a motivated intern to build a Power BI statistics database from quality inspections and to optimize problem-solving displays. You will analyze 8D/3D reports and help train teams in root-cause analysis. The role supports problem resolution and quality improvement across production floors.

The position targets students enrolled in university programs abroad, with opportunities to learn in a world-class automotive environment in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of engineering problem solving and vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with Power BI and basic Microsoft tools.
• Ability to analyze data and conduct root cause analysis.
• Strong communication across functions and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build a statistics database using Power BI from Quality Inspection data.
• Analyze 8D/3D problem-solving results and design display methods.
• Serve as a Problem Solving trainer to other groups.
• Support problem resolution and escalation of quality topics.
• Develop and modify Power BI dashboards to improve usability and performance.

Essential Functions:

• Need to build statistics database using by Power BI from our Quality Inspection

• Analyze 8D/3D that we use for "Problem Solving" and figure out the best display method

• Will be used as "Problem Solving" Trainer to other group

Other regular daily tasts:

• Support problem resolutions

• Support escalation of quality topics to quality forums

• Support implementation of quality checks into offline quality inspections

• Support topic complex problem solving for legacy topics

• Build and modify current Power BI dashboards to improve user-friendliness and overall performance.

Qualifikationen

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree inMechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
