Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is seeking an intern to build a Power BI statistics database from Quality Inspection data and to analyze 8D/3D problem solving methods for clear display. You will train other groups in problem-solving techniques and support ongoing quality initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on analytics, practical automotive quality exposure, and collaboration across teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and production excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem solving, data analysis and root cause analysis abilities.
• Familiarity with automotive systems and production processes and cross functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build statistics database using Power BI from Quality Inspection data.
• Analyze 8D/3D methods for best display of results.
• Serve as a 'Problem Solving' trainer to other groups.
• Support problem resolutions and escalation of quality topics.
• Develop and modify Power BI dashboards to improve usability and performance.

Essential Functions:

• Need to build statistics database using by Power BI from our Quality Inspection

• Analyze 8D/3D that we use for "Problem Solving" and figure out the best display method

• Will be used as "Problem Solving" Trainer to other group

Other regular daily tasts:

• Support problem resolutions

• Support escalation of quality topics to quality forums

• Support implementation of quality checks into offline quality inspections

• Support topic complex problem solving for legacy topics

• Build and modify current Power BI dashboards to improve user-friendliness and overall performance.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree inMechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
