Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. invites motivated students to join our team in Alabama for a paid internship in manufacturing engineering.

You will contribute to improving production processes, implementing vision checkpoints, and supporting cost-control initiatives across multiple projects. The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, familiarity with Excel, Power BI, CAD basics, and hands-on collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Essential Functions

• Installation and Implementation of 9 Standardized Vision System Checkpoints in Assembly 2
• Implemented a centralized budget-tracking solution to improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and cost control across the Equipment Planning project portfolio
• Ubisense Phase 2 Rollout

Other Regular Tasks

• Attend project meetings with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Controls, IT, Safety, and suppliers
• Track project milestones and open issues
• Follow up on action items from previous meetings
• Build business cases and ROI justifications
• Track project spending

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree
• Studies outside of the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
• A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
• Available for a minimum of 6 months
