Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. in Alabama offers an internship program supporting daily MRP operations and AI-enabled tooling to streamline material planning at the Tuscaloosa and Bibb County sites.

Applicants must be enrolled in university, with at least 3 study semesters, available for 6 months, and ideally fluent in English and German. Start date is March 2027, with hourly pay of $18, visa cost coverage, and a housing bonus.

• Fluent in English and German (oral/written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support daily MRP operations and develop AI-enabled tools to reduce manual workload.
• Improve material visibility and allow MRPs to focus on proactive supplier and material management.
• Assist with process efficiency and digitalization efforts.
• Create reports for the MRP team and support daily operations in the Consolidation Center.

• Support daily MRP operations while developing AI-enabled tools and standardized processes that reduce manual workload, improve material visibility

• Allow MRPs to focus more on proactive supplier and material management.

Other regular tasks:

• Support on daily operation in the Consolidation Center business

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree inIndustrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Fluent in English and German (oral/written)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint skills)

• Analytical and problem solving skills

• Team-oriented

• Self-reliant

• Good organizational skills

• Logistics background a plus

• Mercedes experience a plus

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor'sand Master’s degree
