APM Terminals Los Angeles invites undergraduates in STEM to join a summer internship in maintenance and engineering. You will support the maintenance and engineering teams while gaining practical exposure to terminal equipment, asset management processes, and data-driven improvements.
Under supervision, you will assist with maintenance management, inspections, and process optimization, while applying basic electrical and automation principles in a large-scale port environment.

This internship requires working both in office and operational environments. You may spend time indoors using computer systems and maintenance software, as well as outdoors supporting equipment-related activities and learning opportunities. The role provides exposure to real-world maintenance operations, engineering processes, and asset management practices while adhering to established safety standards.
Interns work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year. This position is hourly, non-exempt, and is intended to provide valuable training and work experience for students pursuing academic studies.
