Qualifications

  • Pursuing BS in engineering with at least 3 years completed at an accredited school.
  • For Marketing interns, pursuing 3 years toward a related degree.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in meaningful projects that contribute to company success.
  • Deliver an executive-level final presentation to market yourself to the organization.
  • Engage in department-specific activities across R&D, instrumentation, thermal design, marketing, and structural/mechanical engineering.

Job description

Nooter/Eriksen is seeking highly motivated Interns for our paid2027 Summer Internship Program, running from late May to early August. This general posting is meant to determine where each applicant will find the most value and interest within the opportunities available at N/E. Highlights of our Internship Program include opportunities for career development and opportunities for fun!

  • Connecting your education with real world experience
    • Meaningful projects that contribute to company success
    • Executive-Level final presentation to market yourself to the organization
  • Learn about our company and project teams
    • HRSG 101 Training
    • Departmental presentations from New HRSG Sales, Estimating, Thermal Design, QA, Projects, I&C, Structural/Mechanical, Procurement, Logistics, R&D, and Aftermarket to provide an overview of duties and collaboration opportunities within the organization
  • One-on-one interaction with senior level leadership
  • Mid-point meetings with your supervisor and regular check-ins throughout the summer
  • One-on-ones with hiring managers about potential employment opportunities
  • Experience company culture
    • Food truck events and lunch with Human Resources
    • Lunch with entry-level engineers to get integrated with the culture
    • Top Golf event with entry-level engineers
    • Paid holidays (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July)
    • ½ day Virtual Fridays, working from home

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

We want the person selected for this role to be successful! The following qualifications are essential to be effective in this role:

  • Completion of three (3) years toward a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering school
  • Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to read/analyze technical engineering drawings.
  • Marketing Interns
    • Completion of three (3) years toward a Bachelor degree in marketing/advertising or a related field from an accredited school
  • For all Interns
    • Ability to listen and take direction and work both independently and with a team.
    • Solid communication skills and proactive.
    • Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication are essential.
