You will advise on trade remedies, sanctions, export controls, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to litigate before U.S. trade agencies.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, DC Bar admission, and 2–4 years of relevant international trade experience; this is a hybrid role in the DC area.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, in good standing.
• 2–4 years of substantive international trade experience.
• Experience counseling clients on U.S. international trade regulatory issues.
• Experience with trade remedy matters (AD/CVD).
• Experience litigating before U.S. trade agencies and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
• Experience advising clients on economic sanctions (OFAC).
• Experience with EAR and BIS export controls.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a wide range of international trade and regulatory compliance matters.
• Counsel clients regarding U.S. trade remedy laws, including AD/CVD proceedings and enforced matters.
• Represent clients before government agencies and in litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade.
• Provide strategic advice regarding U.S. economic sanctions, export controls, and cross-border regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regulatory analyses and assist clients in developing compliance programs related to international trade regulations.
• Monitor and assess developments in trade policy, sanctions, and export control regimes affecting client operations.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on complex international business, regulatory, and governmental matters.
