Unknown Firm, a Washington, DC-based international law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its International Trade Practice Group in a hybrid, Washington, DC setting. The candidate will advise on international trade and regulatory matters, including trade remedies, sanctions, export controls, and regulatory compliance for domestic and international clients.

A JD from a top-tier law school, active DC bar, 2-4 years of experience, and strong research and communication skills are required;

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active DC Bar in good standing.
• 2–4 years of substantive international trade experience.
• Experience counseling on U.S. international trade regulatory issues.
• Experience with trade remedy matters (AD/CVD) and related enforcement.
• Litigation experience before U.S. trade agencies and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
• Experience with OFAC sanctions and EAR/BIS export controls.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a large firm.
• Large law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on international trade and regulatory compliance.
• Counsel on U.S. trade remedy laws including AD/CVD proceedings.
• Represent clients before government agencies and in ITC litigation.
• Provide strategic advice on U.S. economic sanctions and export controls.
• Develop and monitor compliance programs related to trade regulations.
• Monitor developments in trade policy, sanctions, and export control regimes.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on complex international matters.
