Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an International Registered Nurse (RN) to participate in a structured orientation and training program with no direct patient care until licensing requirements are met.

You will shadow staff, observe care planning, and learn to delegate tasks under supervision. Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, active US state nursing license (endorsement awaiting is acceptable), and current BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing is required.
• Must be licensed by a U.S State Board of Nursing or must have applied for license endorsement with their assigned state and awaiting approval.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• View implementing and managing patient care
• Watch care planning
• Observe how to delegate care responsibilities to staff
• Watch staff supervision to ensure that delegated tasks and interventions are implemented appropriately and per policy
• Observe how to evaluate and adjust the plan of care to achieve patient goals and minimize re-hospitalizations.
