Position Summary:

Analytic Services, Inc. (ANSER) is seeking an International Arms Control Treaties and Agreements Analyst to join our team supporting the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10), International Treaties and Agreements Branch. In this key role, you will provide critical subject matter expertise to support the implementation, training, and compliance activities for all arms control agreements affecting Department of the Air Force (DAF) operations. You will provide direct support to the Headquarters Air Force (HAF) in developing policy, ensuring treaty compliance, and managing training related materials for existing and future treaties and agreements.

This position does not permit hybrid or remote work with all job duties performed full-time onsite at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing, analysing, and staffing official DAF policy and position statements on treaty-related issues.
• Conduct assessments to ensure DAF-wide compliance with all applicable arms control agreements and support inspection readiness activities.
• Plan, schedule, and support arms control treaty-related exercises and inspections.
• Provide background knowledge, as well as informed context and opinions, for applicable treaties and agreements to A10P leadership at the GS-14/O-5 level and above.
• Draft background materials that can be presented to A10 Front Office leadership.
• Develop and manage education and training materials, including computer-based modules and handbooks, and assist in managing the official DAF course for Treaty Compliance Officers (TCOs).
• Review DAF acquisition and modernisation programmes to ensure compliance with arms control treaties and analyse international proposals to protect Air Force capabilities.
• Conduct historical research on DAF arms control activities to create knowledge management products and lessons learned.
• Provide manpower and workforce development support for the Air Force’s arms control billets and the TCO community.
• Provide logistical support for all DAF/A10-sponsored conferences, workshops, and meetings.

Required Qualifications:

• Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, national security studies, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with the implementation and compliance activities of applicable arms control treaties and agreements.
• Experience forming strong working relationships across the Services and interagency.
• Familiarity with the organisation and responsibilities of the Air Staff, Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) concerning treaty requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in international relations, political science, national security studies, or a related field.
• Experience interacting with and briefing Senior Executive Service (SES) and General/Flag Officer level leaders.
• Experience supporting international programmes, implementation, and compliance.
• Knowledge of strategic nuclear doctrine, deterrence theories, and national security strategies.
• Experience working across the interagency and conducting outreach to promote partnerships.
• Experience developing policy and strategy for major National or DoW programmes.
• Experience in planning meetings, conferences, wargames, or tabletop exercises.
• Familiarity with USAF requirements for the Hague Code of Conduct and Ballistic Missile Launch Notification Agreement.

Full-Time Salary Range for this position:

$82,700-$120,000 USD
