Job summary

Captiva Learning, part of Impact Futures Group, is hiring an Internal Verifier - Youth Work. The role is remote with occasional travel, and involves monitoring assessment judgments, developing coaches’ knowledge, and ensuring high-quality service.

You will work within a leading national training provider, joining a team focused on people, culture and continuous improvement, with regular team catch-ups and company events.

Qualifications

• IQA/V1 or equivalent qualification is required.
• D32/33/A1/CAVA or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PTLLS/AET or similar teaching qualification.
• Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assessment judgements and ensure quality assurance.
• Support Coaches’ knowledge and review processes for consistency.
• Identify learners at risk and implement timely actions to support achievement.
• Observe teaching, learning and assessment in line with OFSTED/QA practices.

The Role

As an Internal Quality Assurer you will be responsible for monitoring assessment judgements, developing our Coaches’ knowledge, reviewing the standard of processes and procedures, and ensuring that assessment decisions are correct, ensuring that the service provided is of high-quality.

The Role will involve:

• Ensuring robust Internal Quality Assurance and best practice processes are in place and followed consistently.
• Supporting the business, learners, and employers in achieving a timely and high success rate through continuous improvement practices, working collaboratively with Operations Performance Managers, feeding back on risk and quality assurance practices.
• Working with the wider business to monitor management information to identify learners at risk of not achieving in a timely manner and ensure that appropriate and timely actions are implemented to support achievement.
• Carrying out observation of teaching, learning and assessment in line with Ofsted‘s Education Inspection Framework and internal quality assurance practices.

About You

• D32/33/A1/CAVA or equivalent
• IQA/V1 or equivalent
• JNC qualification
• At least a PTLLS/AET or similar teaching qualification
• Level 2 or equivalent in Functional skills Maths & English
• Experience of assessment delivery and internal verification
