Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Bryan College Station is seeking an experienced Internal/Used Car Technician to inspect, diagnose, and recondition pre-owned vehicles to meet dealership standards before frontline sale.

This full‑time role offers hands‑on work on domestic and import vehicles, access to scan tools and service information systems, and opportunities to pursue ASE and OEM certifications for career growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience preferred.
• Experience on domestic and import vehicles.
• ASE Certifications preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and reconditioning of used vehicle inventory.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivability concerns.
• Complete maintenance services and repairs to prepare vehicles for frontline sale.
• Identify and document repair recommendations according to dealership standards.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.

This full‑time position plays a critical role in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning used vehicles to meet dealership standards before they reach the sales lot. What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive inspections and reconditioning of used vehicle inventory
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivability concerns
• Complete maintenance services and repairs to prepare vehicles for frontline sale
• Identify and document repair recommendations according to dealership standards
• Perform quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety, operational, and appearance standards
• Work efficiently to meet internal production goals and vehicle turnaround timelines
• Utilize scan tools, service information systems, and electronic repair resources to diagnose concerns
• Collaborate with service, parts, and used vehicle departments to ensure timely completion of repairs
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience preferred
• Previous dealership or independent repair shop experience preferred
• Experience working on domestic and import vehicles
• ASE Certifications preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to perform repairs independently with limited supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
