Job summary

Milgard Windows & Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, is seeking an Extruder Operator in Tacoma, WA. You will operate PVC extrusion lines, perform tooling changes, and maintain quality and safety standards on a hands-on manufacturing team.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree or technical certificate or 6–12 months of related experience, strong teamwork, and readiness to read and follow detailed procedures in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
• Problem-solving ability and comfort following detailed instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate 1–3 PVC extrusion lines to meet production and quality targets.
• Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and change over tooling using overhead crane equipment.
• Perform visual inspections and take accurate measurements using calipers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area including equipment cleaning and debris removal.
• Complete required documentation including productivity reports, machine condition notes, bundle tickets, and work orders.
• Support packaging and forklift operations as needed.

Compensation: $22.00/hour-$25.00/hour (Depending on Experience)

What You’ll Do

• Operate 1–3 PVC extrusion lines to meet production and quality targets
• Safely disassemble, clean, reassemble, and change over tooling using overhead crane equipment
• Perform visual inspections and take accurate measurements using calipers
• Maintain a clean and organized work area—spray down equipment, sweep floors, remove debris
• Complete required documentation including productivity reports, machine condition notes, bundle tickets, and work orders
• Support packaging and forklift operations as needed
