Job summary

ELANTAS North America, LLC seeks a Manager, Customer Service & Inside Sales to lead the Schenectady team and oversee order processing and customer-facing activities for domestic and international customers.

You will coach team members, develop procedures, and collaborate with Production, Shipping, Finance, Quality, and Sales to ensure seamless operations and reliable data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• CFR 49 / IATA / IMDG certification or ability to obtain within twelve months.
• Previous export experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; familiarity with manufacturing software preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Manager, Customer Service & Inside Sales leads a local team of dedicated Customer Account Specialists supporting quotations and sales orders for both domestic and international customers. Serves as key contact and escalation point for both internal and external customers. Cross‑functional communication and collaboration are key to success for this role.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Leads and manages a local team based out of Schenectady, NY site supporting order processing and other customer‑facing activities.
• Responsible for individual coaching and development of team members, including development and maintenance of department‑specific procedures.
• Meets and coordinates with external customers as well as internal functions including Production, Shipping, Finance, Quality, external Sales, and others.
• Key user of internal systems, especially SAP.
• Generate reports and present data related to the function to internal stakeholders.
• Support other local and regional teams as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications majors preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Certification: CFR 49 / IATA / IMDG certification or ability to obtain the certification within twelve months.
• Previous export experience a plus.
• Proficiency in word-processing and spreadsheet applications required (MS Word & Excel preferred). Familiarity with manufacturing software applications is preferred.
