Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for Olympia Fields Hospital ICU on a 12-week temporary assignment. The role features a $60.00/hour flat rate, Day shifts, and PRN scheduling within a hospital environment.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient/family teaching, and collaboration with physicians. Required licenses and certifications must be current, with CCU experience preferred and ongoing professional development supported.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Critical Care Course completion preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum one year as staff RN in acute care hospital; CCU preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the ICU scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostics.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Assignment Details:

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• 5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• 7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospitaloffers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
