Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Internal Meetings Manager for its U.S. Commercial organization. You will plan and execute national meetings, launches, leadership summits, and training programs with a focus on compliance and cost-efficiency.

This individual contributor role collaborates with cross‑functional partners and external suppliers, reporting to the GMM Sr. Manager. Travel is required ~30–40%, and familiarity with CVENT is essential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required or equivalent professional experience with life sciences exposure.
• Master’s degree with 2+ years in corporate event management in regulated industries or life sciences.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in corporate event management in regulated industries.
• Associate’s degree with 8+ years in corporate event management in regulated industries.
• High school diploma with 10+ years in corporate event management in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of U.S. Commercial internal meetings within budget and strategy.
• Advise stakeholders on meeting policies, planning, and best practices.
• Manage outsourced suppliers to deliver compliant, cost-effective services.
• Build partnerships with business leaders and sponsors to support objectives.
• Drive standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement across programs.
• Support change management, process improvements, and tech adoption.
• Utilize CVENT and data insights for budgeting, reporting, and planning.
• Oversee supplier performance, forecasting, and budget management.
• Ensure branding, documentation, audit readiness, and policy adherence.
• Identify efficiencies via automation and digital solutions.
