Job summary

MedVet is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant to join our clinical team in Indiana. This role focuses on supporting internists, client communication, and coordinating patient care across procedures.

You will set up for ultrasound and radiology, assist with endoscopic procedures, manage appointments, and document medical records while educating clients during discharge. A veterinary background and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required, previous internal medicine experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage appointments, obtain histories and update patients information
• Accurate and thorough documentation of medical records

Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant

The Internal Medicine team is constantly working with our internists to provide information to our clients regarding patient care, updates and treatments. This is one department that focuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration. If you want to combine your love of animals and clients, this is the department for you!
