Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a knowledgeable Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced Internal Medicine department. You will liaise with internists and clients, manage patient histories, care instructions, lab results, and updates, and assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, anesthesia, radiology, and specimen collection.

The role requires strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills, client communication, and the ability to handle a busy, dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.
• Ability to communicate with clients regarding histories, care instructions and lab results.
• Experience assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI) and perform medical math calculations (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia during procedures.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures and assist with endoscopic procedures.
