Job summary
PetVet Care Centers—Carolina Veterinary Specialists – Matthews is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to join our busy team in Matthews, NC. The role offers a 4‑day work week with rotating weekend on‑call and requires a CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT or AVMA-accredited graduate with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications
- Must be CVT/LVT/RVT or LVMT and 18+ years old.
- At least 1 year of veterinary assistant/technician experience or AVMA-accredited program graduate.
- Strong technical skills in venipuncture, catheter placement, lab work, anesthesia and pharmacology.
- Knowledge of normal patient parameters and basic medical terminology.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work well in a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostics (radiography, CT, ECG) and laboratory tests.
- Assist with ultrasound and endoscopy; support anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications; update hospitalized patient orders.
- Monitor patient status, communicate changes to team, and provide client education.
